Meeting affected by the route of the AVE (14/04/2010)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by municipal technicians will meet with those affected by the expropriations of the route of the AVE, which has already started the National Government, as it passes through the town, which will take place tomorrow Thursday 15 April at 20:30 am in the Plenary Hall of the City, and attended by a company specializing in the defense of people affected by government expropriations.

In this sense, the city councilman has been reported that the Ministry of Development and ADIF have initiated the procedure for expropriation for the construction of the Mediterranean Corridor high-speed (AVE) as it passes through the town of Totana, and to inform to those affected, the council has launched a special service to inform people who are affected.

In this first phase of expropriation affected 6.34 miles of track that run from the entrance to the town by the town of Alhama de Murcia up before reaching the North Alternative.

In this section the route of the AVE is next to the existing railway.

Also, the mayor has been reported that also affected a strip of land running 70 meters away from both sides of the road.

In this strip of land, the owners will not suffer but their land expropriation shall be in a state of bondage so they can not engage in any activity without the consent of ADIF, and without financial compensation.

For all these reasons, the mayor of Totana has decided to convene an urgent meeting with those affected at this stage of expropriation for the construction of the AVE, which will feature a company specializing in the defense of people affected by expropriations of administrations what the neighbors can discuss their doubts and decide whether privately initiated several actions or claims.

Finally, the mayor has said that it has sent a letter to all concerned informed of this meeting and has appealed to the people of Totana to inform it to all concerned to know for this phase of expropriation (the leading from the entrance to the town Alhama de Murcia for almost to the North Option) so they can attend the meeting, so that all residents can have the same tools to assert their rights over their properties.
