Truancy municipal services, Equality, the Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence, Commerce, Consumer and Housing have changed their usual place and have moved to new premises.
These transfers have been the result of expenditure savings plan that the City current leads for months, so that these services, previously provided in rented premises will be offered from now on local municipal ownership.
The mayor of Institutional Relations, Trini Cayuela, explained that through these changes, along with the transfer of associations being made gradually, the Consistory will save about 30,000 euros per year.
In this sense, the mayor has informed that the services will continue to provide the conditions for excellence and quality that the citizens deserve, in some cases such as Housing and Education have been reunited municipal areas.
Specifically, the Socio-Cultural Center "Jail" has launched the Truancy Service, so that the service of Education has been unified whole.
In the Old Courts Building, on the street Sister Josefa Perez has moved, for now, the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, the Center for Assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence.
In addition, the Immigration Service so far located in James Street, has moved to the offices of Social Services and Public Participation.
Also in the outbuildings of the local police in the building of Contributions, have been installed Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs in the Youth Information Point on Housing and the Office for the rehabilitation of homes in the region.
