The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, escorted by the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, recently signed with several shops in the town a collaboration agreement for development of the project supported "support urgent basic needs coverage" as main purpose is the immediate provision of staple foods for people with severe material deprivation.

With the signing of this agreement is sought by the businesses attached dispensing of certain food products, personal hygiene and household cleaning products, to people with limited financial resources for adequate coverage of basic material needs referred by municipal social services.

This program "Support to cover basic needs urgent" launched by the Social Welfare Department, is funded entirely through grants from the Instituto Murciano Social Action.

To do this, businesses will dispense food items, personal hygiene and household cleaning products, previously determined by the city of Totana, people attesting to go derived by the municipal social services through the ownership of the relevant document and the amount recorded in the same.

Similarly, businesses will issue invoices, on a monthly basis, on behalf of the City of Totana specifying beneficiaries served and delivered products are intended to cover basic needs, while maintaining coordination with local technical development adequacy of these actions.

For its part, the City of Totana provide merchants with a list of food products, personal hygiene and household cleaning dispensation order them, pay the invoices issued monthly by the shops attached to the agreement and is responsible for coordinating political and technical level with the leaders of the shop in response to indications from business premises for the proper development of the project.

The amount accruing from the invoices issued by the businesses amounted to a total amount of 30,000 euros, the total amount of the grant for the project, and the term of this agreement will remain until 30 June 2010 which can only be extended or modified by express written agreement of the parties with the conditions stipulated in your case.

Also, businesses that show their interest in participating in this convention may accede to it at any time by signing it and providing the appropriate information.
