Totana commemorate the International Day against racism and racial discrimination "with the reading of a manifesto and the installation of an information on the activities and services that promote respect for human rights.

The councilman of Social Welfare and Citizenship, Juan Carrion, presented the program of activities to be developed in the Plaza of the Constitution on Monday March 22 to commemorate March 21 International Day against Racial Discrimination.

During the morning and afternoon of 22 March at the Plaza of the Constitution, it is installed Municipal Information Point through which information will be provided to residents of the municipality on the activities and services that help develop and promote the development intercultural citizenship based on respect for human rights to prevent discrimination and exclusion of immigrants.

Among the activities taking place during the day March 22 in the mornings from 10:30 to 13:30 and afternoon from 17:00 to 19:00 hours include reading and sharing a manifesto against racism and xenophobia , distribution of ties to commemorate the day, citizens receiving messages in a book of signatures, among other activities.

The mayor of Social Welfare and Citizenship publicly thanked the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment provided educational materials to be used in educational workshops are held regularly with immigrant children, and to be delivered to the immigrant associations in the municipality and those working with and for migrants and material support in the development of their activities.

Carrión also praised the cooperation of all immigrant associations of municipalities participating in the activities that are organized municipal area and has also recognized the work performed by technicians in the preparation of a comprehensive program that promotes activities such integration social advancement of all residents of the municipality.
