The municipal government of the City of Totana and the three-FSP UGT, CCOO, CSI-F were made at the negotiating table held today to set a series of measures to reduce staff costs in the municipal budget in 2010, although work will continue in future meetings on this matter.

The measures aim to contain costs of Chapter I of Personnel and improve family life and professional balance, so it has been decided that permission, outside the summer-vacation is 30 days, of which 15 will be at the expense of workers and the remaining 15 on account of the company.

In this regard, it has been decided to prepare a List of Jobs (RPT) by next May and a new framework agreement updated according to the new economic situation with a force of two years, which could be modified in the event that economic conditions vary.

Regarding the proposal to establish an improvement in leave without pay under the framework agreement and collective agreement as a settlement plan and Family Life Education has decided that this is completely voluntary and explicit request of the public employee.

Public employees, as expressed in a joint proposal by the unions, within 15 days of the duration from the employee, retain all their rights at work, except for the perception of pay and the accrual of seniority.

Moreover, these days shall be deemed for all purposes of vacation days, so to be enjoyed in minimum period of five consecutive days.

In addition, to not interfere with the preferred vacation periods, and planned by the various departments, if any discrepancies were first consult with employee representatives.

Next Thursday will be held the fourth meeting of the negotiating table in order to continue advancing the plan to reduce staff costs of the City and not bring to this forum Chapters II and III under the current spending grants, respectively.

The mayor, José Martínez Andreo, thanked the unions understanding during the negotiating process, which is proving that both parties are putting together to reach agreement on precise, and their willingness to cooperate and achieve real proposals fruitful, far from political demagoguery.
