The councilman of Social Welfare and Immigration, Juan Carrion, has received the Ecuadorian and technical managers responsible for the Autonomous Community of Murcia that are carrying out the project Co-development-Murcia Cañar which surrounds the City of Totana since 2006.
Carrión said, while receiving institution, thanks to this project, which Totana is working since the beginning of the same in 2006, has been made closer links between Ecuador and the municipality, because many immigrants this country who live in Totana.
The mayor, who among other things appreciated the work done by the technicians of the council, said the main objective of this project is to enhance the effects of migration on the improvement of living conditions in the countries of origin , Canar, and destination, Totana.
For its part, the Head of Service and External Cooperation of the Directorate General of Immigration, told the immigrant groups the work being undertaken in the municipality through this project.
She stated that the slopes on which they are working both in Murcia as the Canton Canar in Ecuador are on the one hand, the productive and other investments in psychosocial support, mainly women and children because they are the most suffer the effects of migration.
Ecuador technicians and the Autonomous Region held a meeting at City Hall with the primary responsibility for the Ecuadorian communities who live in Totana to meet and exchange experiences on this project.
