Local Government Board has approved the bases governing the participation of the Chorus in Totana XXX Habaneras Contest 2010, organized by the Department of Culture, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Region Murcia, with the collaboration of Choral Music Vox "from Totana.
The competition will be held at the Auditorium "Marcos Ortiz of the City of Totana, 17 and 18 July, one of the events scheduled for the Festival of Santiago, and is worth 6,300 euros in prize money.
The basis set that may take part in this contest, all choirs located in the Spanish state and those who request it, exceptionally, be invited by the Committee, whether of mixed voices, white or severe.
Also, the Organizing Committee will select four corals for their participation in the Contest, and the choirs will be read five books in order and in a single performance.
In the mode of Havana, Havana will have to interpret the obligation, to the organizing committee, shall, once selected participating choirs score, and two free Havana, to be in "Castilian" and perform "a Capella".
In polyphonic mode, will have to play two free songs, which is interpreted "a Capella", and in any language, and can be accompanied by instruments of indeterminate height.

The registration deadline for participation will remain open until April 30, 2010 and before May 30, the organizing committee will inform the registered coral selection, indicating the date and order of performance.
The clusters, once sent his admission shall, within a maximum period of 20 days to post bond for 300 euros as a guarantee of their performance in the competition, which will be refunded once the same, and is considered mandatory from the moment of entry of the bond, the participation of selected groups.
The corals lose their deposit if, after confirmation of admission as participants, not submitted to the contest.
Jurors will be related to the choral and song, and appointed by the Competition Organizing Committee, and may declare void those awards that fail to meet the minimum standards and its decision is final.
The bases provide two forms for the awards: Habanera and Polyphony.
The awards in the Habanera be a First Prize, sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture, with an amount of 2,500 euros and a trophy, a Second Prize sponsored by City of Totana, endowed with 1,900 euros and a trophy, and a Third CajaMurcia Prize, worth 1,300 euros and a trophy.
On the other hand, in the form of polyphony is only one prize, sponsored by the Department of Culture and worth 600 euros and a trophy.
