A total of 25 young people from different nationalities of the conservation activities of the natural environment of the Espuña (24/07/2009)

The councilman of Youth, Josefa María Sánchez, director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, general director of the Natural, Pablo Fernandez and regional director of the CAM, Angel Martinez, visited the "XII International Work Country Environment "in" The Stables ".

In this working meeting, which is being developed in the regional park of Sierra Espuña, involving 25 young people aged between 18 and 26, who are making efforts to conserve the natural environment and come from different Spanish provinces and other countries: Granada, Almeria, Zaragoza, Asturias, Guadalajara, Pontevedra, Orense, Madrid, Murcia, Valencia, France, Russia, Germany, Serbia, Greece and South Korea.

This field, which is developing from 17 to 31 July, is organized by the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia in cooperation with the CAM, the city of Totana and the Environmental Volunteer Program of the Directorate General of Natural Environment.

Environmental regeneration activities, which are being led by the specialized company "Ecoespuña", as reported by the councilman of Youth, has involved the delivery of documentation and information on the Regional Park and conservation actions such as environment management public use, adequacy of paths in the network of nature trails, restoration and maintenance of historical and public facilities.

In addition, young people have developed cleaning and clearing of vegetation and regeneration of old paths firm near The Forest House Stables, between the towns of Aledo and Totana.

Young people have made other leisure activities and additional free time, excursions to various locations in the autonomous region.

For its part, the director general of the Environment has indicated that these young people are discovering the main natural and cultural values of the Protected Natural Area.
