The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the Councillor for Citizen Participation and Neighborhood Relations, Juan Carrión and other members of the government team held a working session yesterday with the residents of the neighborhoods of San Roque and Las Parras to know their immediate needs and explained the projects implemented.
During the meeting, policy makers informed of the projects that have been made in the neighborhoods during the two year term.
Specifically, the mayor of Planning and Sustainable Development said the works being carried out on the streets Barranco, Roden and Virgen del Castillo, for the POS 2008 that have a budget of 90,743 Euro '92.
He reported that by the end of this year, will be completed the first phase of paving the streets of Las Parras, where the first count with cobbled streets are the streets Estrella, Father Bernardino and Tinajerías.
In these cobbled streets and will proceed to the regeneration of the services to be funded through the Local Investment Fund, with a total budget of EUR 225,510.64.
The mayor also explained to the residents of the settlement works Ramblica street of the town, which has a budget of 40,689 euros, which is under way to fix sidewalks and the street sign Ramblica and regulation of traffic in this street.
On the other hand, the Councillor for Citizen Participation and Neighborhood Relations, Juan Carrion, said the new clubhouse in the neighborhood, which opens in the festivities of San Roque, and has an area of 257 meters.
The facility has a playroom of 46 meters, a 55-meter multi-purpose hall, computer room of 25 meters 28 meters meeting room, an archive of 11 meters, offices, toilets suitable for the disabled, among other venues.
In terms of educational infrastructure, the Councillor for Education, reminded the neighbors that have already been signed with the Ministry of Education of the Region of Murcia the agreement for the construction of the new bar in the Ramblica double line, in order to relocate all students of the Cross in this new infrastructure.
He pointed out that the place of the current school for educational facilities will remain so in the future study its functionality, depending on the needs as they arise.
