The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, attended the gala dinner of the Reina Sofía School of Totana, organized on the occasion of the commemoration of its 25th anniversary, where the mayor announced that the City Council Totana awarded the Gold Shield of the City to the center as a prime example of cooperative entrepreneurship and educational work developed during this time in this county.
Also, the mayor said the trajectory of the center, which began life 25 years ago as a college arranged through the cooperative and currently has 45 faculty members who welcomed the good work done.
In the same way that emphasized the integration of community college education in the area and announced it will present this proposal to the next plenary in May, to start the record of this award, following the adoption of amendments to the new regulation Municipal presenting awards.
During the course of the evening, city officials came to the city of gifts to commemorate the birthday 25 years since the creation of this center in 1983-84.
The program organized to mark this important celebration for the center, was held last week from 20 to 24 April, with numerous activities, photo exhibition and carnival costumes, sports activities, cultural workshop, "The Arab world", recital of poetry by local poet Paco Barceló, aikido exhibition, a lecture-cago of Carmen Tárraga psychologist, reading workshops for primary education, charity market (Aid to Children of Peru "), development of brand-pages ( help Save the Children "), presentation of the center's Web site, large gala dinner and presentation of the magazine 25 anniversary.
