The municipality will sign an agreement for the maintenance of the service that dispense methadone in the municipality (05/02/2009)

The City Council of Totana, through the Department of Health, signed a collaboration agreement for the maintenance of assistive device for dispensing methadone in Totana Health Center, to support the treatment of patients in the city and avoid moving to the Service Center of Drug Addicts of Lorca.

So, has announced the Health Councillor, Trina Cayuela, which has reported that this agreement, lasting a year, was approved by the Local Government Board at its last meeting.

Assistive Device Methadone dispensing, comprising a doctor and a nurse, will be located in the Emergency Department Health Center Totana, in order to ensure proper coordination of the device with drug addicts Care Center of Lorca, which is the focal point of the Health Area.

By signing this agreement, the City will undertake to provide the assistance device for a security service to ensure the normal functioning and for the custody of methadone, explained the council of Health.

This device will serve Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 16:30.
