Education Park Road becomes one of the reference training centers (02/02/2009)

Park Road Totana Education has become one of the reference training centers in the region through the acquisition of a vehicle adapted for people with disabilities so they can perform the training practices in the municipal circuit.

The new vehicle has been presented this morning by the Councillor for Citizen Security, Roque Molina, Councillor for Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, head of the local police in Totana, Alfonso Canales and is responsible for Road Safety Local Police, the Pedro Cánovas out.

The purchase of this wagon was made by the City Council of Totana through the Department of Public Safety and Local Police Headquarters for an amount of around 2000 euros.

The Councillor for Citizen Security, Roque Molina, explained that during the course of 2009, which started a few days ago, is expected to attend the Training School Road more than 3,500 people during the more than 500 hours of training to be delivered by agents Local Police.

Molina has indicated that it will pass through the traffic school all the students of Primary and Secondary schools in the municipality, housewives' associations, adult education and seniors, among other groups.

In this sense, the mayor has emphasized that one of the priorities of the Department of Public Safety was to give service to people with disabilities, so he took the decision to purchase this vehicle.

Thus, as explained by the mayor, new students will be trained on safety standards adapted for disabled vehicles.

With this acquisition, the Park and has seven electric karts, six Scooter moped type, 20 bicycles, safety equipment for driving vehicles, signaling games and learning materials.

The first students who have received basic knowledge about driving such vehicles have been users of Occupational Center "José Moya", which this morning has been transferred to the Traffic Park for the new service.

The Department of Public Safety is committed to reducing road accidents in the municipality building on road safety education to citizens.

Furthermore, as has advanced out Canovas, is drafting a proposal to investigate the causes of traffic accidents and how to prevent them.

Also, the Canovas pointed out the commitment being made by the Consistory to ensure that the municipality is situated in figures below the average for the region in traffic accidents with the implementation of projects such as the adapted vehicle.
