In relation to the investment of the Government of Spain in Totana, the Socialists said that some of that money should go to agriculture (05/12/2008)

The Socialists have expressed great satisfaction with the decision of the Government of Spain to invest in the municipalities in these difficult times.

Socialists remember that investment in Totana totaled 850 million pesetas, which provides real injection into the local economy and creating 150 jobs estimated

The Socialist group has asked the municipal mayor to create a special commission to be made to the projects and objectives that prioritize the needs of the municipality to invest this money.

Socialists believe it is necessary to distribute the investment in different economic and productive.

They have also declared their intention of betting seriously by the agricultural sector of the town, abandoned by the city administration for many years, the benefit of other productive sectors.

So from the PSOE will propose that addresses the construction of the house of Farmer in the current Chamber of Agriculture in Santa Eulalia Avenue, according to a project that has already drafted six years ago.

Socialists believe that this infrastructure is vital to try to encourage the agricultural sector of the municipality, which in these times of crisis is emerging as the strongest of the town.

From Totana Municipal Group Socialist state that this is a historical necessity and a debt to the farmers.
