The 2008/09 school year starts today (10/09/2008)

The kick-off the 2008/09 school year took place this morning and started with the addition of 3,325 students in school and Primary Education, of which, 115 will begin their education for the first time in eleven schools in the municipality .

Thus has announced the Councillor for Education, Roque Molina, in a press conference to mark the start of the 2008/09 school year and Primary Education, which discussed, among other things, issues related to start the new school year and the outstanding work carried out and run in local schools.

He highlighted the incorporation of 390 new students in kindergarten, a figure which shows the population growth recorded in the town, according to Molina Legaz.

On the other hand, announced that three local primary schools will host from Monday 15 September, the education of 280 children aged 1 to 2 years, representing an increase of 32 new students over the previous year .

Next week the classes will also begin gradually Secondary Education, Secondary and Vocational Training in five schools in the municipality.

Specifically, a total of 1,300 students are enrolled in secondary, 350 in high school and 180 in vocational training.

With regard to the Special Education System, the Department of Education has reported that the start date of the Official Language School with 300 students enrolled will be held on September 24, and recalled that the registration period to register Municipal School of Music will run from 10 to 26 September

As for the official opening of the school year 2008/09, the date is to be confirmed by the Minister of Education, and has advanced as mayor, is scheduled to perform at the Colegio San José, coinciding this year celebrates its 25 anniversary, but yet to be determined venue.
