The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion Tudela, held a meeting recently with a group of representatives of the family members from the Residence "La Purisima" to address a number of demands, needs and problems that exist in the service offered to older people in the Residential Center.

During the meeting, the family moved to the mayor the need for improvements in areas related to food, equipment, personnel, elderly care by professionals and hours and visits the Centre.

Also, Carrion Tudela family informed of new enhancements to the Centre, which has been endowed with more air conditioning in all common rooms, offices, meeting rooms and in rooms on the top floor, and is currently studying the possibility of installing new equipment in the corridors of the lower floors to cool the facility.

They have also learned first hand the grants through which we have proceeded to total replacement of the beds, the purchase of new chairs Relax and purchase of a new industrial washer.

With regard to staff during the summer, the medical service has been covered by the Health Center services, and from this month will provide this service.

Finally, the mayor pointed out that the Centre is a new bidding process, "in order to award the Estate services to an entity that manages all the services provided therein, and commissioning progress of other new and innovative services which will impact on improving the care provided to older Residencia La Purisima, who ultimately is the primary purpose for which the City Council works.
