Councillors Environmental Education and Environment, Maria Isabel and Agustin Gonzalo Martinez Molino, today took delivery of the prizes to the three winners of the school drawing contest "In recycling, you paint a lot", which took place in the eleven schools Totana in the information campaign on recycling, "Let's separate fine, recycle better."
The initiative, which was developed in collaboration with "Ecoembalajes Spain, SA", was addressed to students of 6th of Primary of all schools in the municipality.
The winners were Nicole Johanna Hernandez Mero (first prize), Helen Sirlen Pérez Céspedes (second prize) and Paula Sánchez López (third prize), schools "San Jose" and "The Cross", respectively, who were accompanied by their teachers.
The three prizes have been awarded a tablet (first classified), MP4 (second place) and a lot of school supplies (third place).
In the competition they involved more than 180 students of all schools of Totana and the objective of this was to achieve greater involvement of children in the culture of recycling, fostering in students the separation of light packaging waste and waste paper -cardboard for subsequent deposit in the yellow and blue bins.
The theme focused on the name of the information campaign and it was intended to encourage recycling increasingly smaller amount of improper waste.
Students have reflected in their work in the yellow container must be deposited cartons, cans and plastic containers and blue container, packaging paper and cardboard, newspapers and magazines.
The studies were performed in A-4 size sheets provided by the departments and have been used many pictorial techniques and procedures, such as watercolor, tempera, crayons or pencils.
The jury was composed of various heads of the departments of Environment, Waste and Environmental Education, and between jobs, has frequently been made by students of the CEIP "San Jose", whom the council acknowledged his involvement in the project.
