Totana Town Council, through the departments of Environment, Urban Waste and Environmental Education and with the collaboration of the company "Ecoembalajes Spain, SA", will organize the "Recycle and Win" within the information campaign "Let's separate But we recycle best "held since last week and until mid December.
The aim of the contest is to encourage citizens source separation of waste from light packaging and waste paper and cardboard for subsequent deposit in the recycling, that is, in the yellow and blue containers, thus achieving greater involvement citizen in the culture of recycling.
In addition, it is intended to convey the importance of responsible use of limited environmental resources by adopting behaviors and sustainable habits with the environment, and promote a positive and critical attitude leading to a reduction in waste generation and learn the correct separation packaging for recycling.
The competition is open to all citizens living in the city of Totana and will give citizens an award rewards the effort made by separating their homes from their packaging waste plastic, cans and cartons, and cartons , paper, newspapers and magazines, and later putting them in the container.
To do this, it will deliver a participation card anyone that addresses the mobile Green Point (assembly formed by the mobile information point and 4 PIM containers, 2 yellow and 2 blue) with their waste and deposit them correctly.
This card, duly completed, with your name and phone number, the placed in a ballot box where the cards of participants for the prize will be collected.
All for the development and execution of the contest, information will be transmitted through different media as well as through posters and leaflets will be distributed in different municipalities.
The dissemination of the campaign will also be conducted through the corporate Web of the City of Totana, facebook profile and email sent to the distribution list Young Informa.
The contest kicked off on November 16 and will prolong until December 4;
and the schedule for the reception of participants will be from 10.00 to 13.00 hours (mornings) and 17.00 to 19.30 (evening).
Green dots of information
Informative green points will be located in the following areas of the municipality and citizens there will have to move to take their waste bag (light packaging and / or paper-board):
- 16,17 and 18 November: PLAZA Juan de la Cierva, compared to Glorieta.
- 19 and 20 * November: Rambla de la Santa, opposite Municipal Park

- 25 and 26 November: C / Canada ZAMORA, intersection with C / Rosa and C / San Ramon

- 1 and 2 December: C / SAN FRANCISCO DE ASIS, along Fairgrounds
- 3 and 4 December: PLAZA OF THE CONSTITUTION
During this period, an environmental educator will be in the PIM, placed in the parts of town chosen for this purpose, and that citizens be informed beforehand.
Next to the PIM two containers (yellow and blue), in which the participant deposited, as appropriate and under the supervision of the environmental educator, will find located the waste bag (light packaging, paper and cardboard).
Subsequently, environmental educator given a participation card which will be filled with personal data and to be introduced in an urn.
In addition each participant with a raffia bag will be gifted in yellow or blue, to separate their packaging waste paper or cardboard.
For each deposit (minimum one bag) of waste to take our container, citizen participation will get a ballot.
Therefore, the more times they visit our mobile green point of light packaging waste and / or paper-board, the better your chances of winning.
Just to clarify at this point that will be a stake for every deposit, not per bag to carry at the same time;
and two bags will not be carried on the same occasion and will therefore deliver two appearances.
In addition he was also presented with a yellow bag blue raffia or to pick their waste at home.
The prize is a one night stay for two people in a three-star hotel spa in the region of Murcia, in full board.
Similarly, the expiry of the contest and collected the cards of all participants, will proceed to the extraction of winnings, whose act is publicly held on Thursday December 17 at 12.30 in the hall of the City Council.
The event was attended by all citizens who so desire and also be on the same staff responsible for the departments of Environment, Waste and Environmental Education.
