Totana City Council has started the first round of work with the hiring of 57 farmworkers in the program of the "Employment District Councils", which runs until 15 November, the date on which begin a new turn.
The council will receive a total of 340,627 euros to hire a total of 171 unemployed in different phases.
The mayor, Juan Jose Canovas and Councilman Services, the City Maintenance and Infrastructure, Victor rafts, welcomed the participants in this first round of the project in the plenary hall;

The initiative is developed in three phases corresponding to three shifts agricultural laborers over a period of two months each.
The completion of works is justified by the need to combat unemployment by ensuring a complement agricultural income through the distribution of employment available and encouraging the employment of these workers in the agricultural sector activities.
Contracts are made each turn under the Public State Employment Service and Community co-financing of Ministry of Employment and Social Security;
and the need to continue with the maintenance and upkeep of public roads and boulevards in the municipality.
The first shift, you start that has already begun, will clean the roads of Guardians to the RM-3 motorway Paretón Cemetery, New Road, dinner Juan Teresa, Hornico, Las Cabezuelas, fennel, Old Lebor and N340.
The second shift will work in the areas of road strip Canvas, The Yesares, Sports, drylands, The Colonel, Confectioner, El Bosque, Mazarron, variant way from the North to the Municipal Warehouse and deposits of San Jose.
And the last turn will Viejas Parts roads, Ezekiel, Gate, Viveros Muñoz, Cañada Hermosa, Turret, New Orchards, Hawthorn, and Cuesta del Colmenar Km.
