Totana City Council will promote this term actions effective equality between men and women in matters of public procurement in the scope of its powers by including clauses in the procedures, according to the Councillor for Equality, Eulalia Moreno.

The city has already approved last July a motion by the mayor for this purpose, so that the Consistory henceforth included in the clause on labor, social and environmental obligations, the specific administrative clauses this regard.

The City Council urge the obligation by the contractor of compliance with current regulations relating to effective equality between women and men, according to the provisions of the Organic Law 3/2007 of 22 March.

In public procurement is necessary, therefore, to introduce social clauses on gender equality, said Moreno.
