The Association "Canico" organizes night route "Evening between Shadows" (14/07/2015)

The "Canico" Cultural Association of Totana organized next July 24, the eve of the feast of St. James, the night route "Evening in the shadows", to be held for the second year through the main streets, monuments and emblematic spaces the historic center of this city.

Celebrations Councilman Agustin G. Martinez, president of the association, Juan Ruiz, and representatives of this entity and collaborators in organizing this activity presented the initiative which is organized within the cultural program activities supervisory celebrations of Santiago '2015.

In the presentation ceremony they were also attended by the members of this association and collaborators, Beatriz Jimenez, Maria Sanchez, Isabel and Alfonso Rojo Gallego.

The output of the route will take place from 22:00 in the gardens of "La Milagrosa" and ends inside the parish church of Santiago after walking the streets Sr. Josefa Perez Concepcion, Mariquita Ros, La Balsa, Santo Christ, General Aznar, Constitution Square and Bridge (near the Monument to the Nazarene).

During the tour, and various landmarks of this, numerous musical performances will take place by the "Musical Group Ana", "Friends of Lourdes," "Coro Santa Cecilia" Juanfran Esparza, Alfonso Gallego Group (Aledo) and "Sundays and holidays." band

This activity is expected to minimize lighting public lighting of streets that will run the route, where besides the vehicle traffic will be cut during the two hours duration of the activity.

The initiative will feature musical performances and acoustic performances versioned medieval character, a visit to a house set in the nineteenth century (with period furniture), representations of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, among others.

Participants will enjoy the charm and mystery of the legends prepared for the occasion in order to raise awareness of an informative and entertaining, dynamic history of Totana.

The night route ends at the Church of Santiago with the intervention of the official chronicler of the city, Juan Canovas Mulero, who will explain the significance of the figure of the apostle and the Order of Santiago in creating Totana;
