Totana City Council processed a total of 14 civil marriages during the first half of 2015, according to sources of the Bureau of Estadísitica, responsible for the management of the municipal service.
In 2014 a total of 43 celebrations were recorded, while in 2013 and 2012 were 22 and 31 respectively held.
For the beginning of the procedure Civil Marriage is a prerequisite prior recourse to the Civil Registry of Totana, situated in the courts of Totana, in Avenue Rambla de la Santa, or in any court of Spain.
The couple must be informed in that registration of the necessary documentation for marriage.
There it will be provided together with the explanatory printed the necessary documentation, the request for presentation to the registry.
It is recalled that the exclusive competence of the Civil Registry, so it may not request date for marriage in the city of Totana until the parties have personado in the Register to perform the appropriate procedure.
Once the hearing with witnesses in the civil registry, the couple can be directed to the City of Totana (Statistical Service, ground floor) and request the date of marriage.
They are established as working days for the celebration of civil marriages in the city of Totana, Monday through Friday, noon;
and on weekends, enabling for this purpose the Plenary Hall.
The amount of the fee for each service is established in the Tax Ordinance, so that is 60 euros from Monday to Friday at noon;
and 120 euros on Friday evening and weekends.
