Andres Garcia is committed to the management of nursing homes La Purisima and the Day Centre are directly managed by the City.

He said it is the best guarantee that older receive the best care and service.

He regretted that during the 12 years of government management of PP residence and day center have been passed from one hand to another without considering the quality of service and attention.

He said that people who are treated in these centers deserve the utmost respect and attention and that the PP has never taken into account.

He said that the PP has been the residence and day center as a problem and an expense rather than seeing a right of elders.

He added that they are people who have worked all their lives to support their families and a system which guarantees full quality of life and retirement.

Said the Residence and Day Centre can not keep changing management model from time to time that a model of stability and continuity to the management needs and above all to ensure that the premium quality of care and attention on the issues economic and, he said, that is only guaranteed if the City Council who is responsible for the management.

He said that it is perfectly possible that the City manages the Residence of the Immaculate Conception and the Center for Senior Day without increasing spending and offering better service and quality of care for the elderly.

He said one of his priorities to ensure a dignified retirement, that it will implement all necessary measures.

He announced the creation of a Municipal Council of Seniors, which will launch Urban Gardens and a training program for schools in which caregivers explain to the school garden operation.

Also he wants to equip senior centers of new audiovisual and written material, make the cultural wealth of the elderly in their professional fields for the preparation of cultural guides, guided by the municipality or the development of monographs on the recent history of visits Totana.

He said he already has several older volunteers to perform this task.
