The Department of Environment Totana has launched public environmental awareness campaign on waste collection "If you separate well, recycle better" which includes two awareness raising: one aimed at users who make a deposit of light packaging and paper cardboard moving green dots enabled in different neighborhoods and a drawing competition aimed at students 6th of Primary Education.
The mayor of Environment, María José Bedia, presented two initiatives that aims to encourage the proper recycling of light packaging and paper-cardboard recycling centers authorized by the neighborhoods and districts of the municipality, which are aimed different sectors of the population, under the collaboration agreement with the Autonomous Community is the company "ECOEMBES".
In the first action, the 2nd Competition "Recycle and Win" for each deposit (minimum one bag) light packaging waste and paper and cardboard, users enter a draw for a weekend at a spa hotel three Stars in the Region of Murcia.

The draw will be held on December 19 at 12:30 pm in the Council Chamber of City Hall.
Drawing Contest "In Recycling, you paint a lot"
The second action that includes the environmental awareness campaign is drawing contest called "The Recycling, you paint a lot," aimed at students 6th of Primary Education schools in Totana.
This campaign involved students from schools "San Jose", "Santiago", "The Cross", "Guadalentin", "Santa Eulalia", "Luis Perez Rueda" and "The Miracle".
With this competition is to achieve greater involvement of children in the "culture of recycling," encouraging the students to the separation of light packaging waste and waste paper and cardboard for subsequent deposition in the yellow and blue containers, he said the mayor.
In it, three prizes will be awarded, the first with a tablet;

All participating centers will be informed prior to December 15 the jury's verdict.
The awards ceremony will take place at a public meeting to be held in the hall of the 19th of December.
Finally, the Environment Councillor encouraged Totana neighbors to participate in this grassroots campaign and highlighted the degree of acceptance that it had last year, in which 611 units were recorded, the largest being those recorded on areas of the promenade of Santa and the San Francisco respectively.
