Totana will host on October 28 the Seventh Meeting of Students of Catholic Religion of the Region of Murcia (13/10/2014)

The Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia Totana will host on October 28 the Seventh Meeting of Students of Religion of the Region of Murcia, in which more than 2,500 students of 4th ESO and 1 High School, organized by the Ministry of Education and the delegation of Education of the Diocese of Cartagena and has the theme "die of love. Santa Eulalia, martyr."

The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, and the coordinators of this event, teachers and José Luis Méndez Martí Victoria, presented today at the hall of this initiative that will bring together students from 15 to 17, from schools throughout the Region and between 60 and 70 teachers.

The meeting will begin at 9:00 am from the arrival and reception of the groups participating in the Shrine and the official ceremony will take place at approximately 10:30 am in the presence of the bishop, José Manuel Lorca Planes the Minister of Education, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez.

In addition, participants will travel different routes during the day previously chosen from the set that have been offered to schools by the organization, in collaboration with the towns of Totana and Aledo, respectively.

Similarly, party-time activities will be offered in the vicinity of the sanctuary, as the performance of the Gang "Uncle John Rita".

Were offered guided tours, accompanied by teachers and tour guides, parishes and Tower of Santiago, the Three Hail Marys and La Milagrosa Chapel;

monuments of the city center as Route Niches, Fountain Square and John Uzeta Balsa Vieja, visit offered three potteries and Oven Moorish or visit the headquarters of the Easter brotherhoods (Jesus at Calvary and Sant Cena, and Guild Holy Christ of the Fall and Elevation of the Cross).

Visits were also offered to the Tower-Castle and pottery workshop Aledo Aledo.

Participants may Guided visits to the shrine, the Via Crucis and Heart of Jesus and Mirador de la Virgen Blanca, as well as annexes to the shrine of the patron;

and tasting cake made of ground paprika and paella, those who decide to stay for the food to be held in the place "The Angel".

The meeting is scheduled for the entire day, although many groups conclude their visits at the end of the morning;

and the objective is to promote the festive approach of all students attending Catholic religion, highlighting the educational significance of the subject and recognizing the work of teachers and students.

In previous years there have been four meetings in Murcia and Cartagena, Lorca and Yecla.
