More than 130 people participated in this year's "Labor, a step towards employability" project and there have been over 40 job placements for people who have participated in courses posts with the principal objective of improving the training of people with more difficult access to employment, Hand Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle".

The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, together with the Director General of Pensions, Valuation and Inclusion Programs IMAS, Miguel Angel Miranda, and those responsible for The Candle, Ginesa Eva León and Rubio, have presented the diplomas to the participants of the training courses that have been developed during this year.

Specifically, they have delivered the certificates to people who have done courses Social Skills for Employment;

Techniques active job search;

monographic resources workshop on Employment and Occupational Training cleaning surfaces and furniture in rooms and buildings.

The municipal councilor said at the closing of the program, this is the way to go to help people who find it most difficult when looking for a suitable job to your needs, so the "Labor" project has demonstrated that the connection between collective and administrations is an ideal tandem for the implementation of a comprehensive training for residents who need a support mechanism for the consolidation of a job.

In this regard, he recalled that since Candil began this program in 2007, more than 500 people at risk of social exclusion have been trained and have been accompanied by job search from a holistic perspective, having a very close coordination with the area of ​​Social Welfare of the City of Totana addition to the support and monitoring of Murcia Institute of Social Action.

A new ordinance to help people in social exclusion

The mayor of Totana has announced that it is working on the development of a new ordinance to assist in job placement to people who are at risk of social exclusion to which agreements will be signed with companies to help from the local administration, defray some of the contributions to Social Security.
