Totana City Council recently awarded the new contract for maintenance service of the Municipal Cemetery "Nuestra Señora del Carmen" in this town for the next four years, the grant was awarded to José María Martínez Fernández 43,478.54 USD per year, which has been paid since last June 1, according to sources in the Department of City Services.
The new service is a result of the award process that began last day November 11, 2013, in which the Local Government Board approved the contract documents and technical specifications to perform the recruitment of the municipal service .
The new concessionaire, as stated the tendering procedure and the successful tenderer himself is committed to the implementation of the construction works consisting of ten modules of four niches within one year.
This contract is for the provision of services burials, exhumations, transfer of remains to the cemetery, as well as cleaning, upkeep and maintenance of facilities, landscaping and services that are currently available or that can be arranged in a future.
