The Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, today inaugurated the new classrooms CEIP "Regional-Deitania" which was completed last summer so that in such infrastructure Classes normally start the school year 2013/14.
During the event, the authorities have been accompanied by the director of the center, Ginesa Sánchez and municipal officials and representatives of the educational community-Totana most directors of local schools-and some AMPAS, who able to see first hand the new infrastructure.
The visit coincided with the musical activities they had scheduled the various courses of the school to coincide with the holiday music, Santa Cecilia.
The extension works were undertaken by the company "Asphalt Pavement Lario, SL" and were awarded in the amount of 486,000 euros.
In addition, the building has a floor area of ​​688.6 sq meters, of which 367.7 correspond to the ground floor, which includes a porch over 320 square meters, and 320.9 square meters upstairs .
These works have expanded the current units of the school, so they have built four classrooms in primary education, tutoring, and teacher and pupil toilets and a storeroom for cleaning.
After the visit, the Minister took the opportunity to meet with all the directors of schools of Totana, as well as representatives of the AMPAS Totana who have attended this institutional appointment.
