The City, through the Department of Youth and following approval of the Governing Board, re-launch the program "Youth Correspondent" in both Secondary Education Institutes of the town, "Juan de la Cierva" and "High Meadow".
This time will be four young correspondents who will develop a broad educational work and where young people can express what their concerns, and the correspondent channel their demands.
According to sources in the Department of Education, Youth Correspondents are young students, who are primarily responsible for reporting all matters which may interest the young: leisure and recreation, youth accommodation, grants and scholarships, studies, useful addresses, publications, youth card, etc.., plus another primary function, they have is to detect, collect and transmit the demands and needs of young people.
The program begins with the campaign "Wanted Correspondent" on the IES, conducted by tutors from schools that have been designated for this program, in collaboration with selected Informajoven and once these young people undertake to perform the correspondents functions, among which are: the transfer the information gathered in the center where their functions Correspondent and get it to the Youth Information Services; keep updated and ordered the media and other means (bulletin boards, newsletters, brochures, etc..) and to let the young, by claims that the information of these supports is for them to cooperate in achieving the objectives of the program in which participates, and respect the internal rules of the institutions in which does business, among other actions.
