Totana City Council is holding an emergency plan cleaning of rural roads by which they will put up a total of 85 miles of public roads in the town, most totanero network and rural countryside.
This plan is outlined in the program of the County Councils' Rural Development Initiative in local corporations "with being made cleared and conditioning work on the public road network.
The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the councilors of Services, María José Bedia, and Training and Employment, María José Baeza, have made a visit to see first hand how these tasks are being developed that will allow the ways of the location more accessible to traffic and avoid bush fires due to condensation of these dry waste.
The unemployed hired, who have been selected by the SEF and unions, in this first round of 39 people perform these tasks gutter cleaning and waste collection in the coming months, in different rural roads as well as in public spaces and Similar infrastructure features distributed by the various councils totaneras.
Totana for this program has received a total of EUR 340,868.96 through the Employment District Councils to combat unemployment and contribute to the development of rural areas of the municipality.
The Consistory totanero this year opted for hiring the unemployed in three shifts of two months' duration, each made to permit the hiring of 118 workers instead of 77 workers who have been hired previously, this measure is intended to give more job opportunities to more people and providing an income for most families badly needed right now.
This grant, as indicated by the mayor, aims at promoting agricultural unemployment combat the employment of these workers in the agricultural sector emerging activities, by conducting a series of labor actions that contribute also to the enhancement and the endogenous development of depressed rural areas of the Region of Murcia.
