They keep a minute of silence in homage to the Spanish flag (12/10/2013)

Civil authorities, Police, Local Police, Civil Protection and representatives of the Judiciary of Totana, have held a minute of silence at the official ceremony of tribute to the Spanish flag on the occasion of the festival of the Day of Pilar, in memory of deceased military Espuña yesterday.

The effective Air Surveillance Squadron Espuña (EVA 13) have not attended the event, as in previous acts, as a sign of mourning for the loss of military partner died yesterday while climbing in Sierra Espuna.

The event was held at the end of the traditional Mass of the patron saint of the Guardia Civil that has taken place in the Convent of the Three Hail Marys, which has been attended by a large audience thanks to the good weather of the day.

Staff trained to salute the flag has been composed by members of the Civil Guard post Totana, Civil Protection and members of the local police in Totana, and representatives of the Municipal Corporation and representatives of the Judiciary of Totana, which have completed the training.

Before the event was kept a minute of silence and has read the article four in the Spanish Constitution which deals with the flag of Spain and the ensigns of the autonomous communities.

Then two members of the Civil Guard discovered have carried the flag to the base of the great mast located in this square and proceeded to his lifting while Totana Music Group has performed the national anthem and the entire uniformed training has remained the salute.

Tribute to the deceased

Then the act was performed in honor of the deceased fellow Totana Local Police, Civil Guard and the Army and has carried the laurel wreath that authorities have cast at the foot of the shrine of Santa Eulalia.

The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, and the lieutenant commander of the Civil Guard of Totana, Teruel Antonio Maya, have placed a laurel wreath in honor of the deceased, while the band and the choir Santiago have interpreted the song "Death is not the end."
