One of the pavilions of the permanent training center in hemophilia "The Pond" will be named for Dr. Manuel Moreno (29/04/2013)

The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the councilors of Health, Eulalia Sandoval and Social Care, Josefa Maria Sanchez, attended the Friday night the opening ceremony and welcome attendees Hemophilia XLII National Assembly and twentieth Medical-Social Symposium held during this weekend in Totana.

The meeting was held under the slogan "Not one unit more or one less unit", and was attended by several hundred people from different Spanish regions.

During the inauguration was reported by officials of the Association of Hemophilia Murciana that one of the pavilions of the Lifelong Learning Centre in Hemophilia "The Pond" will receive the name of Manuel Moreno, in recognition of his invaluable help to families and Patients of this disease.

The Mayor and City Council of Health also attended the opening of the Medical-Social Symposium at Hotel Executive Sport, which was attended by the Government Delegate, Joaquin Bascuñana.

The event has been a meeting point and outreach event related social science this disease and other congenital coagulopathies in Spain.

These meetings are public showcase once a year certifies the commitment of people with hemophilia and their families for the best geriatric care, and which brought together some 400 people from affected patients and family members and representatives of associations that make up the Federation .

Furthermore, the symposium attendees received training on the latest medical advances for the comprehensive treatment of their disease with renowned speakers and which are agreed lines FEDHEMO work.

FEDHEMO is a non-profit organization established in 1971 and declared a public utility in 2000 by resolution of the Council of Ministers.

The integrated 21 regional and provincial associations and aims to represent and defend the rights of persons with hemophilia and other congenital coagulopathies.

To do this, they are in constant dialogue with the public administration and health workers to influence policies to improve geriatric, education and psychosocial support to patients and their families and raising awareness.
