The Department of Women held last night the City Council for Equal Opportunities, the body responsible for managing all responsibility for women in the city of Totana, which served to approve the contest to honor the International Working Women's Day March 8.

The call of these rules is intended to recognize and promote the work of individuals or legal entities that have contributed so relevant and prominent in defending the values ​​that promote gender equality in order to give impetus to policies equal opportunity and treatment between men and women, and thus contribute to improving the situation of women in Totana.

Similarly this tribute serves to recognize and reward the work that takes place in our town in favor of gender equality in every area: education, sports, advertising, media, social, political or business.

Proposals may be submitted by any organization or association or a group of at least 5 people and must submit one candidate per group or entity, as worthy of honor under the terms stated in the previous article.

Nominations will be formalized by sending the duly completed documents and attaching the documents indicated therein, and shall be submitted to the Secretary of the Municipal Council for Equal Opportunity in the General Secretariat of the Council of Totana.

This year will again see two modalities for the tribute:

A) A tribute to women who have excelled totaneras so eminent in any field of social, cultural, political or economic, have promoted women equal opportunities in all areas of life: education, sports, advertising, media , social, political and / or business, artistic, etc..

B) Homage to an entity, a corporation that has outstanding work or activity at the local level for their struggle for equality between men and women.

The deadline for applications will be until February 28 of each year, in the event that the last day is a holiday, it shall be extended the following working day.

These terms will be issued for broadcast on the website of the City of Totana in any media or local.

The tribute will consist of a citation and the delivery of a diploma to be awarded publicly in the acts of March 8, International Women's Day, so that the jury may grant homage maximum six people and an institution or organization.
