A total of 10 people with intellectual disabilities accounted Center Totana "José Moya" Totana in basketball regional championship held in Block "St. Basil" the city of Murcia.
This meeting is part of the XXV Special School Games, and participated in the Special Education Centers and Disability Centers in different parts of the Region of Murcia.
The delegation totanera featured two teams: all women consisted of Ana Rosa M ª Carmen, Maria Cruz, Adelina and Isabel Rodriguez faced Aidemar, Apandis, Prolam, Asprodes, obtaining defeats, against the first two, and two victories over the last two.
The male ensemble consisted of five other players: Juan M ª, Cánovas Paco, Juan Andrés, Pedro and Javi Canovas, which counted for losing all three games played against Aidemar, Primisport and Asprodes.
This activity is part of the program of Sport and Physical Activity Day Centre for people with disabilities "José Moya", which is a municipal funded by IMAS and copayment users.
Participants were accompanied by two instructors from the center and a student intern.
The atmosphere of the meeting was of great sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants in all centers.
The next championship (table tennis) will be held on November 28 in Cartagena.
