About one hundred teachers are currently participating in the Regional Conference of Rural Schools are held at the Hotel Monasterio de La Santa de Totana, and are organized by the Directorate General of Human Resources and Quality of Education of the Ministry of Education and the Center Teachers and Resources (CPR) of Lorca.
The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, the director of the conference, Agustin Garcia, and Secretary of CPR Lorca, Juan Manzanares, launched this initiative to teachers attending school and Primary Education in rural areas of most regions Region, and is supported by lectures and workshops.
Participants will share experiences and innovative proposals, meet the latest contributions didactic and practical training work in workshops to enhance their motivation and educational innovation.
In addition, teachers of rural schools unit discussed in this forum for meeting, on different methodological approaches in different educational and informational purposes expose their good teaching practices.
During the inauguration, the mayor thanked the organizers for choosing Totana for holding this meeting and recognized "the generosity that has had the CPR of Lorca with the organization of this action in a turbulent period of economic difficulty."
Advocated that "some of the conclusions adopted at this conference, they will help to fulfill your teaching."
He also said that in education policy, the districts, provincial and rural communities "should be considered by the government the same way as urban areas, even occupying a central and vital role."
He added that "ye, who are teachers in rural schools, which today you have only the privileges and disadvantages to revive and to demonstrate the spirit of the village schoolmaster of life."
