More than 780 students from different schools participated in the school sport program, whose closing was held on Friday June 1 with a presentation of medals to the participants in the municipal flag Manolo Ibáñez.
In total participated in this school year 782 students of the ten primary schools in the locality: Reina Sofia, Tierno Galvan, Santa Eulalia, La Cruz, La Milagrosa, Santiago, Deitania District, San Jose, Luis Perez Rueda and Guadalentín.
The School Sports Centre has been structured into four different categories; Peques (3, 4 and 5), Prebenjamines (6 and 7), Benjamins (8 and 9 years) and juvenile (10 and 11 years).
The activities have been held throughout the school year, from October to late May, in the sports of the schools, various sports such as football, basketball, handball and volleyball, with interscholastic competitions on Fridays afternoon at the sports facilities.
In this farewell of the school year, plus various activities organized sports courts, took out a medal to all participating students, by the Councillor for Sports, Bartolome Perez Pallares.
Also presented a trophy to the physical education teachers from different schools participating in thanks to his collaboration with the Department of Sports, in various activities that comprise the School Sports Programme.
