The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, has shown support to the population of the municipality of Lorca in the ceremony of the flag of the City Emergency Military Unit.
Sanchez Ruiz has moved to the mayor of Lorca its full institutional collaboration, and pointed out that Totana always has made available everything necessary to help the people of "our sister city."
The city of Lorca recalls today the tragedy of earthquakes a year ago, which killed nine neighbors, with various acts of homage to the victims and solidarity expressed appreciation for the past twelve months.
The events of the first anniversary have begun on the plaza in Spain, where the mayor, Francisco Jodar has handed over to the Military Emergency Unit the flag flying at City Hall the evening of the tragedy.
This afternoon, the city councilor, along with Councilman Totana Public Safety, Francisco Hernandez, also attend the church service in memory of the victims who will be officiated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, and that attend the Ministrio of Industry, José Manuel Soria, and the president of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.
