The Queen Sofía College celebrates its Cultural Week "Book Day" from 23 to 27 April with a broad program of activities (25/04/2012)

Between 23 and 27 April Queen Sofía College of Totana is developing a CULTURAL WEEK aimed at students to commemorate the "Day Book".

For this celebration, they have called "The Discoverers", have organized a series of activities in primary and secondary for a week students and teachers share duties around the center so that learning will come out of the classroom in a moments of coexistence and participation.

On Friday 27 will re-organize, as in previous years, the Outreach Market, that have proven activity that promotes values ​​in children such as the taste for reading, the habit of buying and sharing books and, above all, the importance of our solidarity and support for a cooperative education initiative by an NGO totanera, to build a school in Burkina Faso, an African country with a devastated situation regarding school instal-lations.

Activities Program-PRIMARY CHILD

Students of different courses of children and pri-mary carry out the following activities related to the topic das monograph "The Discoverers" to the rest of colleagues in other cycles and stages:

ART WORKSHOP:

CHILD: made a mural in the courtyard of white paper for painting with Chinese ink and waxes manley

PRIMARY:-First stage: small roles with food paint and India ink

-Second stage: small parts painting with watercolor pencils

-Third stage: make bookmarks with the technique of collage

SCIENCE WORKSHOP:

The Secondary Science department in trying to assist in the promotion and dissemination of science, will present the activity called "Discovering Science" which will consist of an interactive exhibition with simple science experiments that combine scientific rigor with a didactic co attractive and our students of that presented to his fellow kindergarten and primary.

THEATRE WORKSHOP:

Alumni / ae 5 and Primary 6 to represent his fellow nursery, primary and secondary work "trip to Columbus grabs all costs" which are staged, humorous, the vicissitudes of Columbus to get funding.

-Gimkana of inventions and inventors.

PRIMARY

FIRST STAGE: Implementation of the workshops:

- Evolution of dance.

- Innovative Musicians: Vivaldi and Beethoven

- The constellations.

- Nicolas Copernicus.

SECOND CYCLE

- "I am ...": Students of this course will be transformed during the week of inventors and inventors of global importance and delight in his life and work to other colleagues.

Animation-reading in English by Oxford Publishing.

THIRD CYCLE

Animation-reading in English by Oxford Publishing.

- Animation reader by the Editorial Santillana.

- Braille Workshop.

In addition, alumni / ae and Primary will attend the performance of the play "The Pipe Dreams."

ACTIVITIES FOR PARENTS

On Thursday April 26 at 19:30 PM on alumni / ae of 5th and 6th grade represent the work: "Columbus grabs trip at all costs."

SECONDARY Activities Program

High school students perform the following activities related to the single theme of "discoverers" to the rest of colleagues in other cycles and stages-ART WORKSHOP: - 1 º and 2 º ESO: paint small parts with charcoal -3 º and 4 º ESO : abstract compositions with various materials

SCIENCE WORKSHOP: The Secondary Science department in trying to assist in the promotion and dissemination of science, will present the activity called "Discovering Science" which will consist of an interactive exhibition with simple scientific experi-ments that combine scientific rigor with a didactic and attractive for our students of that presented to his fellow kindergarten and primary.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION WORKSHOP: Class Activity: Discovering "OLYMPICS".

HISTORY WORKSHOP:-Students of the ESO will make a Wikipedia on the great geographical discoveries.

MATH WORKSHOP VI superTmatik Mental Calculation International Championship of Mathematics The department has enrolled in our center edition 2011/2012 International Championship of the mental calculations "Super T matik" categories for ages 8 and 15. The first internal phase was performed at our center and aims to motivate and improve our students' mental arithmetic. Winners of this phase will compete with other boys and girls worldwide through the Internet (www.eudactica.com). During this Cultural Week will be held the final internal where will a champion and a runner-up 3 of Primary 4 º ESO. WORKSHOP OF LITERATURE-The students of 4 º ESO will recite a selection of poems by Miguel Hernandez., Faculty of ESO read humorous poems.
