The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the councilman of Commerce, Francisco Hernandez, found firsthand that public acceptance was the first day of the "Your Trade on the Square", which kicked off Sunday in the Plaza de la Balsa Old Totana, with the installation of sales displays to boost this sector.
Totana traders could get selling seasonal products in a day when the weather accompanied and large audience gathered from first hour to 15 hours to closed positions.
This initiative is organized by the Merchants Association Totana and has the support of the City, in order to boost the local production sector.
Local authorities, accompanied by President of the Association, Francisco Andreo, visited all the exhibitors involved in this initiative.
On this first day, settled in the Old Square Balsa all morning a dozen shops, from 9:30 to 15, 00 hours, respectively, seeking out new season products.
The mayor stressed the importance of developing initiatives like this to reactivate local businesses taking advantage of good weather and excellent infrastructure in the city center and defended the need to implement new business strategies in the municipality and and discuss them within the framework of the Local Board of Trade.
He reiterated the full institutional support to such initiatives being developed by the productive sector and associations through which they try to take one more step in the development of new options for consumer sales.
This initiative will take place next May 13 and this time is expected to be greater the number of participating merchants who display their products for sale in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja.
