Members of the Police Canine Unit Local Totana participated last April 10 in the course of Guide VI Canine Drug Detector Dog, held in the city of Alicante, which was organized by the Spanish Association of Guides Local Police Canine, the City of Alicante and the Canine Unit of the Local Police in Alicante.
Also attended the said course 37 players from Móstoles Canine Units.
Estepona, Mijas, Sabadell, Malaga, Totana, Mula, Villarreal, Burjassot, Rivas-Vacimadrid, Orgaz (Toledo), Algorfa and Alcoy, among others, which had the opportunity to perform with their dogs, screening practices of narcotics in different scenarios, such as car, parks, parcel, people, among others.
At the closing ceremony, which took place on day 13, in the hall of the building door Ferrisa attended the Officer-in-Chief of Local Police Totana Alfonso Canales.
Before the closing ceremony took place papers on organization, operation and creation of Canine Units in charge of Second Lieutenant Chief cynological Third Unit of Cartagena de Levante, Benito Castillo and the Chief of Police Canine Unit of Local Móstoles, Jose Lopez Castilian, respectively.
The Mayor of Alicante, Sonia Castedo, closed the acts valuing the work of police canine units "to guarantee security for the ordinary citizen" and also stressed the struggle to hold these units "silent violence involving drugs. "

It is the first time this course is organized in Valencia.
It has received professional experts who this week have taught the dogs and their abilities to detect guides psychotropic substances in different scenarios.
