A score of walkers participating in an interesting route planned by the Regional Park of Sierra Espuña (09/11/2011)

A score of walkers participated in a route which took place on November 6 in the Espuña Regional Park, a new scheduled departure within walking activities organized by the Department of Sports City Totana.

According to sources of this Department, the route was directed by Javier Ramirez Melgarejo, environmental educator, and recently published the book 15 routes through the heart of the Region of Murcia.

On this occasion there was a route through the Sierra Espuña Regional Park, particularly in the neighboring town of Alhama de Murcia.

The itinerary completed a tour around the 13.5 miles away, passing a gap of more than 500 meters.

The march began on the site of Carmona with the hydroelectric power Fast.

The first point of interest was the landscape of Cave Luenga, ascending a restocking historical path to the vicinity of the Barranco del Estepar.

After a brief decline in search of well-deserved lunch, we went to the former tree nursery, located north of Fountain Bermeja, where the small grove of Tetraclinis articulata was the protagonist in the supplies.

After lunch the route continued to the place de la Selva to connect with the forest track Bermeja Source and connection with the recent path of the water.

Following the route of the water the group went through the house Leyva forest to reach the well-known hospital later Espuña sanatorium.

After an interesting talk on the history and mystery of the abandoned building, the road continues to the hill of the Seven Brothers and moved up the road to Umbria from the pens to the helipad Source firewall louse.
