The city of Totana will deliver next Thursday April 28th title of Son Porlán Miguel Noguera "Chendo" (25/04/2011)

Totana City Council will present on Thursday 28 April, the title of Son Miguel Porlán "Chendo."

The event will take place at 17:00 am in the Plenary Hall, after which the player will visit the soccer fields of the Ciudad Deportiva "Espuña" that bear his name.

Chendo born in Totana (Murcia), 12 October 1961.

He started playing in the school team of the Mission Cross.

In his dreams and was present to become a figure and be able to play for Real Madrid.

Just turned 14, Chendo becomes part of youth Totana.

There he discovers Nito, a Real Madrid scout and soon was summoned, along with other kids for a trial with Real Madrid.

After some hard evidence, Chendo is the only player of interest to technicians.

Thus enters the Real Madrid youth team in September 1977.

Their game and delivered to the Juvenile convicts Madrid coach so three years after donning the shirt of youth jumps to Castilla in the second division.

During this time he was summoned by first team coach to train with Real Madrid star.

In the 1982/83 season he played three games for Real Madrid in the Champions League.

He won the first of seven league that won adorned with other titles like the King's Cup, Super Cup, UEFA Cup ... and closed his brilliant record by winning the European Cup last season he acted as a player.

And internationally on 39 occasions Chendo wore the shirt of the Spanish, 26 of them by selecting A, 9 with the U-21 (with which Europe was declared runner-up in 1984), and 4 with the U- 19.

Chendo debuted with the senior team on January 16, 1986, in some cases in friendly against the USSR.

World participated in Mexico (1986) and Italy (1990) as well as in the qualifying round of the Euro in France (1988), although an injury prevented him from being in the finals in Paris.

Chendo hung up his boots on June 30, 1998 with an impressive track record which has, among others, 7 leagues, 2 cups of the King, 4 Super Cups, one League Cup, 1 European Cup, 2 UEFA cups, 1 cup Iberia, etc.

Thus, Miguel Porlán "Chendo" was and is an important ambassador for the city of Totana most notably as having outstanding athlete.
