Hotel occupancy during the days of Holy Week celebrations totanera has exceeded 91 percent, which started yesterday and ended 17 April 24, coinciding with Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday with the arrival of thousands of Totana visitors, as reported by the Municipal Tourist Information Office and the local police.
Despite adverse weather conditions, over half of the local hotel occupancy has been granted a one hundred percent capacity.
The Councillor of Tourism, Maria Isabel Sánchez Ruíz, explained that the largest influx of visitors was recorded during the Friday, reaching more than 5,000 visitors per day.
Moreover, according to Sánchez Ruíz, these days there has been an increase in the town fleet, an increase of visitors, an increase of the activity of the tourist office, which has remained open throughout the week and hours processions, managed security devices and management measures and traffic control.
