The Youth Council of the City of Totana, through Dynamism in Neighborhoods Program, is developing "Open Studios in the neighborhood" on Alvagón Edutec located in the Olympic quarter-Pears.
This initiative is getting strengthen this area as a place open to the participation and cooperation of residents, whether young or adults, parents, or simply living in the neighborhood.
From this line of work that is intended that the Edutec are also an educational and leisure space, a space of reference and inter-connection for the residents of neighborhoods and villages.
After the start of the Revitalisation Programme activities last February 15, the Edutec Alvagón is developing various workshops and activities with the active participation of neighborhood residents themselves, and assemblies where children and youth of the district which are determined activities they want to and participated in prioritizing and managing its implementation.
The result of this collaboration neighborhood, the children enjoyed a workshop on "Artistic Expression" with broad participation, which also will be continued in future collaboration for the new styling Alvagón image through a workshop run by Graffiti Edutec participants and neighbors.
According to reports from the Collective Candil, the initiative is a double satisfaction because on one hand all children, youth and adults, enjoy the activities while the other adults in the neighborhood contribute to the social wealth of it, contributing its experience and / or develop work skills and initiatives by and for the neighborhood.
