The City Council of Totana, after approval of the Municipal Budget with the votes for the PP and against those of the PSOE and IU + the Greens commitment to increase aid to those most in need, support to productive sectors and pursue more training courses to improve the situation of families resulting from the economic crisis.
The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, recalled that this term is set to be the one that has lowered the budget so it's austerity and restraint in public spending with the optimization of services that have marked the line action.
However, as acknowledged by the mayor, despite getting the budget is reduced by more than 45 percent since 2007 at no time has abandoned the people who are suffering most in need, the bet for training and aid for productive sectors.
In this sense, explained that by 2011 it will rise by 33 percent the training activities of the SEF.
In addition, it raises new aid for productive sectors and in the Business Incubator, with 11 percent, Vocational Training programs, 100,000 euros, aid to SMEs, aid to caterers to bring their terraces to counteract the economic effects who are suffering, among other measures.
It has also indicated that for this year have increased the social emergency aid to people in need, aid has been uploaded to the Active Income for Labor Placement (RACI), the Standing Support Service, and besides creating scholarships for social inclusion.
On the other hand, the youth sector is also favored with 33 percent rise for school transport assistance and grant program to attain a driver's license and aid for the acquisition of VPO.
