The Department of Sports and Totana Chess Club held on Saturday December 18th Chess Tournament School Sports in the Municipal Pavilion of Sports Manolo Ibanez, who had a participation of 52 students from different schools of locality.

This competition has also been qualifying for the Regional Final Chess School organized by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia in their own school sport program.

The tournament concluded with the presentation of trophies to the best classified by the Councillor for Sports, José Antonio Valverde Queen, and president of the Chess Club Totana, Peter Garrett.

The final winners were: Pedro Moreno Martínez (Colegio Santa Eulalia), in male youngest category, Cindy Ceron Amaguaya (Colegio La Milagrosa) in youngest female; Alejandro Tudela David Cayuela (Colegio La Cruz), juvenile male, Pilar López Murcia ( Colegio Santa Eulalia), in juvenile female, José Victor García López (IES Juan de la Cierva) in male children, Beatriz Jiménez Cánovas (IES Juan de la Cierva), in female child, Francisco José Vidal Alaves (IES Prado Mayor) in male cadet, and Andreo Antonio Pérez (IES Prado Mayor) in male juvenile category.
