During the ceremony, the mayor stressed the importance and the revolution that has brought the project for training and access to new technologies in Totana, bringing computers and Internet to all citizens of Totana, which this time has been carried out by the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" and Deitania.
Specifically, more than 230 people have received training in new technologies during the last half of 2010 in more than 20 courses developed in the computer rooms of Parral, in the social centers of San Francisco and San Roque.
RAITOTANA (Network Computer Rooms Totana) is a local initiative project that has united under a single name different computer rooms of the town of Totana.
Currently there are ten local computer rooms made available to the public, under various agreements between the city of Totana and other agencies; 4 Unrestricted Walas, 3 3 Internet Rural Telecentres and set up the computer rooms with Internet access in the municipality.
The supply of courses with funding from the State Plan for Employment and Local Sustainability, is composed of the following courses: computer literacy (20 h), basic computer and Internet (30 h), Internet (20 h), processor Word documents (20 h), Excel spreadsheet (20 h), Access Database (20 h), Power Point (15 h), and digital photography (15 H).
Also, there have been Internet courses for children up to Junior 14; a typing course audiovisual, as a novelty, and two informative workshops with localized content.
As the mayor explained, it is training, since there are no specific dates for completion of the courses they are becoming gradually as the demand for them, who have already registered more than 400 lawsuits.
Applications for courses can be collected and delivered at City Hall or in places where they are to conduct the training.
Besides the training aspect, the classrooms have received more than 500 people in its role as free access, which you can access the classroom at a time for free access.
For free access have been developed for all activities related to Internet connection: Navigation, Email, Chat, etc.
Also, users have enjoyed other services such as webcam for video conferencing, printing, scanner, etc.
