The Councillor for Planning and Sustainable Development, María José Bedia, along with the mayor of the City Comprehensive Maintenance, Sergio Lopez, visited the renovation and rehabilitation of the Holy Temple of Christ, located in the historic center of town.
This project, being undertaken by the company totanera "Tusamar SL" with a budget of 13,920 euros, will allow this iconic place of the municipality is fully restored maintaining its original state.
Planning the mayor pointed out that with the implementation of these works, the government team remedied the deterioration that is currently undergoing this monument of Totana, included in the list of protected buildings in the municipality with grade "two" of protection.
In this sense, explained that the Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, provided a grant of 10,440 euros to carry out the restoration of the monument, so the rest will be municipal contribution.
Bedia explained that the facade has been cleaned, has recalzado the pillar, shall be the replacement of wooden beams, the floor is waterproof, among other things.
He has also indicated that it has managed to restore the original roof which is putting a bright blue tile.
