The Department of Services carried out a radical review of more than a dozen roads throughout the 52 persons who, being unemployed, have been employed by the City Council through a grant from the Regional Employment Service (SEF).

The roads affected are located both in the various districts of the municipality, for the movement of agricultural workers, as the roads near the village, area of orchards, and roads will be repaired and Hall Real (Raiguero ), Don Luis (El Paretón), the Ermita de la Huerta, The Drylands and Caparros (La Huerta) of the Glen Hermosa and the Stone of the Viper, Mortolitos, Ezekiel and The Jaboneros (Morti) John Teresa (Lebor) of the New Way of Hornico of Mazarron and Turbinto (The Norian).
The mayor pointed out that Totana is the third municipality in the region, after Cieza and Moratalla, most economic quantity that is to receive, increasing this amount for the year 2009 to 1.61 percent.
