Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, presented yesterday one of the main actions will be developed through the project "Activa Murcia Rural Employment (mappers) initiative launched in collaboration with the municipalities of Cieza and Puerto Lumbreras, through which it promotes employment of women and people who struggle the most to gain employment as young people aged 45 years and unemployed.
Méndez Sánchez pointed out that development of the three municipalities mappers project work in coordination with the objectives to promote the employability of disadvantaged groups, through integrated insertion pathways and processes of training and practices, promotion of integrated actions sustainable development, ensuring equal opportunities between men and women in the workplace, and promote the use of new technologies in the processes of training, job placement, among other actions.
The mayor pointed out that the mayor of Totana signed this summer, the collaboration and funding agreement with the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, and the mayors of Cieza and Puerto Lumbreras, respectively.
In relation to the training course "Nursing Skilled people dependent on social institutions," the mayor explained that the deadline for applications is open until Wednesday October 6.
Also pointed out that the course is primarily aimed at young people up to 30 years, people over 45 years, long-term unemployed and other groups, noting further in this case, positive discrimination for women, made clear the records that 75% of participants must be women, a total of 25 people.
Also, Sanchez Mendez stressed the importance of this training course, to count the same, with a period of theoretical training and another 450 hours of practical training period of 180 hours, during which participants will enjoy a scholarship.
Basic requirements to enter this course, be aged between 16 and 65, be in possession of the card SEF unemployed, be registered in Totana, have a minimum of GBS studies or equivalent and request the participation in this Project through the relevant application form.
On the other hand, the mayor insisted that the important fact is when searching for a job a course of its kind to demonstrate the knowledge and even experience, through professional certificates.
In this sense he said that these courses are focused in the new fields of employment, and therefore represent new hopes and possibilities to access the current job market, demanding of professionals trained in these matters.
Finally he said, that all persons interested in this project, can pick up applications at the Citizen Service Centre (SAC) of the City of Totana or via the web page www.oficinadedesarrollo.es.
