The mayor and the president of the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross signed a cooperation agreement (21/09/2010)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by the councilman of Health, Trini Cayuela, and President of the Local Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross, Juan Periago Ruiz, have signed a collaboration agreement for the purchase of a life support ambulance basic upgrading and refurbishment of infrastructure, for a total of 240,000 euros, at a rate of 30,000 per year for eight years.

Under this collaboration agreement, the Red Cross will provide coverage through the Ambulance Service on certain public events and to help with the maintenance and provision of equipment to improve this service, and attend training courses in that required a health professional.

For his part, as explained Trini Cayuela Totana City Council contribute the amount of 168,000 euros, divided by 21,000 annually to cover the costs incurred in the development and delivery of service coverage of public events.

It will deliver the amount of 40,000 euros, divided by 5,000 per year to cover the financing of a basic life support ambulance in accordance with the budgets submitted by the Spanish Red Cross, Local Assembly of Totana.

It will also provide the amount of 30,000, spread over 3,750 euros per year to cover infrastructure costs of the Base Emergency Relief and Spanish Red Cross available to Local Assembly of Totana, in Avenida Juan Carlos I of this town.

For his part, President of the Local Assembly explained that this agreement thanks to the actions promoted by the volunteers see the light as they provide the infrastructure and equipment necessary to carry out voluntary actions.

Totana Mayor pointed out that despite the abstention of the opposition groups in the motion that was full, the city has returned to sign the partnership agreement with Red Cross, on the one hand, to improve infrastructure local host and fund the purchase of the ambulance.

With this agreement, as pointed Martínez Andreo, the City ensures the full cooperation of Red Cross and support all acts of a municipal character.
